Under Floor heating is not a new concept, in fact the Romans appeared to be rather good at it.

There are now a number of manufacturers in the market. A lot are newcomers.

Here at ADVANCE HEATING, we have gone for the system marketed by the premier domestic & British supplier - Nu-Heat. They are based in Honiton, Devon and since 1992 have been developing their expertise and systems so that they now have a proven track record allied to innovativion.

All you need do - and it's the same if you've got a whole house to heat, - an extension or a Conservatory that you'd like a price for. Is to let us have a copy of the plans or drawings (these will be returned), then Heat calculations can be made and the system designed. Under Floor Heating is most suitable for new build, where Insulation will meet the new regulations. It can, however, be installed in existing houses but the amount & types of insulation would need to be known.

There is a system for all type of floors, here again the most suitable system for each type of floor could be ascertained from drawings/plans.

From these calculations we can then quote for your particular project.

How we heat a room can significantly affect how we utilise and enjoy the space created.

A high proportion of the warmth from underfloor heating is radiant energy. Warming from the floor up makes us feel more comfortable. It feels more natural because it is the way we are warmed by the sun.

Also, as underfloor heating systems concentrate the warmth where we stand and sit, it results in improved economy. The gentle, even heat and low humidity variations create a kinder environment for your furniture, antique or modern and the circulation of dust and mites is reduced making the air you breathe cleaner, less allergenic.

Underfloor heating systems work by pumping temperature controlled warm water (not hot water), from a normal central heating boiler or other hot water home heating systems, through jointless plastic tubing embedded in the floor.

The floor temperature only needs to be raised a few degrees above the room temperature to maintain an effective comfort level.
