Underfloor heating and floor coverings.
ONEZONE™ is Nu-Heat's system for extensions and conservatory's or indeed any
project other than a full house.
A wide range of floor coverings may be used with ONEZONE™. For optimum
performance hard surfaces such as ceramic tiles, slate, stone and marble are
recommended as they provide the best transfer of heat.
The low surface temperature of underfloor heating presents no problem with
timber floors provided that the timber is well seasoned or kiln-dried and
sensible procedures are followed to prevent timber from absorbing moisture from
the building.
Although all carpets resist heat transfer more than other coverings, if simple
guidelines are followed the efficiency of underfloor heating will not be
affected. Very thick carpet with a high tog value and felt underlays should be
avoided. The combined value of carpet and underlays should not exceed 2.5 tog.
Nu-Heat will be happy to advise on any aspect of floor coverings and is part of
our ongoing dedication to 100% customer satisfaction. Nu-Heat is dedicated to
100% customer satisfaction.
We believe that our systems are simple and quick to install. Nu-Heat ONEZONE™
home heating is designed to enable trouble-free first time installation by a
local installer such as ADVANCE HEATING.

Fastflo® tube is fully compliant with all relevant British and
European standards and delivers outstanding heating performance:
• Smaller diameter - enables shorter coil lengths and closer spacing so warmth
is spread more evenly.
• Faster response times - rooms heat quicker and more efficiently.
• Quick installation - due to the flexibility of the pipe design, thereby
reducing installation costs.
Performance
Nu-Heat ONEZONE™ can provide heating of up to 100 Watts per square metre of
floor area. This is normally more than sufficient to provide room temperature
without supplementary heating systems. However, caution should be exercised to
ensure that the heat output from the floor will meet the heat loss of the
structure, especially in highly glazed areas such as conservatories. Heating
response times in screed floors will be longer than for radiators but this can
easily be allowed for by appropriate setting of the time controls.

The picture (above left) shows a Manifold from a larger system
with 5 zones. Whilst the picture above right gives an idea of floor covering
over the under floor heating tubes.
The above shows an installation in progress in a new-build
situation.
