It's a "Turn-Off" off discussing Pipe work, I know, but its important just the same.
Attention to detail is essential so its re-assuring to know that whilst you may not be bothered by such a subject - we are and safety as well as sizing are important when installing or replacing Gas Appliances. Electrical earth bonding at the meter sounds painful but it could be if you ever needed it to be there in a time of emergency. Its part of your home's earth safety wiring and as long as it's there you and your family are that bit safer. If it's not there, or you're not sure - be safe - contact an approved electrician today and make sure.
Also make sure the only flexible connection to a Gas appliance in your house like the one above is only fitted to supply a freestanding gas cooker. Connected to any other appliance it could be lethal as well as illegal.
So if you're in any doubt about any of the Gas supply pipe work in your house, get it checked. The cost will be small in comparison to the implications of unsafe or dangerous pipe work.
